“The next generation of video game home consoles lets the development team realize the full potential of Scarlet Nexus,” said Producer Keita Iizuka from Bandai Namco Entertainment. “Players can expect visuals and psychic battles with high resolution and frame rate along with fully interactive real-time battles with dynamic animation. No word yet on why the Nexus is Scarlet, but I’m sure we’ll find out. Players will get to use psycho-kinetic powers to lift, break, and hurl pieces of the environment to build attack combos and lay waste to enemies. In Scarlet Nexus, players will “dive into a complex story of bonds, courage and heroism” crafted by the minds behind Tales Of Vesperia. Since then, psychics have been recruited to join the Other Suppression Force – the world’s last line of defence. The Others are impervious to conventional weapons, and so psychics – those with acute extra-sensory abilities – were the only ones who could destroy the Others and save humanity. (And these Others, they be some freaky things.) It all starts when a psionic hormone was discovered in the human brain, granting people extra-sensory powers, but also attracting deranged mutant Others from outer space, who want to feed on human brains. In the game, you take on the role of Yuito Sumeragi, and explore the futuristic city of New Himuka to uncover the mysteries of a “Brain Punk” future caught between technology and psychic abilities. Here’s more info about it from Bandai Namco! You might have seen the trailer (above) during the recent First Look Xbox Series X Gameplay event by Microsoft, and wondered what Scarlet Nexus is all about. Titled Scarlet Nexus, the game will hit Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on Steam. A brand-new RPG franchise from Bandai Namco Studios and lead by former developers of the acclaimed Tales Of series is coming.
